Pre-arrest diversion programs serve as a new pathway toward justice for all. Pre-arrest diversion options are made available to any member of the community, regardless of race, gender or ethnicity. This approach follows the national initiatives to re-evaluate how the justice system addresses diversity and inclusion in routine practices. If designed and implemented effectively, pre-arrest diversion programs offer the same opportunity to all, ensuring every person receives equitable access to these programs.
Equal opportunity is provided through fair access and opportunities for all members of the community, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
