National Deflection Week is coming July 16-22!

The first-ever Deflection Week will be observed July 16–22, 2023. National Deflection Week serves to broaden awareness of the field and movement of deflection while showcasing the tremendous deflection work taking place in a diverse range of communities across the USA, the UK and beyond. Groundbreaking and meaningful deflection work is happening in communities to save lives, promote recovery, save taxpayer dollars, reduce drug use, and reduce drug-related crime, as well as promoting racial equity, responding to rural inequity, reducing the social burden placed on police, and ensuring children and families are included in the work of deflection. To highlight your community’s deflection work online during this inaugural week-long observance, be sure to use the hashtag #NationalDeflectionWeek2023. More information on how to join us in celebrating deflection to be provided next week.
